A weekly newsletter from Creativegarh to help you reignite your creative passion. |
Every form of ‘I tried my best’ is good enough. |
Waking up in the morning when you had nothing to wake up for is trying your best too.
Smiling at yourself in the mirror when you were low on self-love is trying your best too.
Making coffee for yourself when you could have hit the half-empty bottle of gin from last night is trying your best too.
Not being able to climb the mountain but taking two steps towards the top is trying your best too.
Not being called to create today but still choosing to show up against all odds is trying your best too
Not showing up for a toxic relationship is trying your best too.
Fighting your demons but losing one game to them still means you tried your best.
Choosing to live up to no one's expectations and winning in bits and pieces is also trying your best.
Every baby step. Every show up. Every action for your self-love. Every act of faith over fear, love over hatred, and kindness over apathy is trying your best.
Take it easy. Stop being hard on yourself. Just be. Forgive yourself. Start again.
Try your best. One little try at a time.
Intend to matter.
Don't let the bigness of a dream overwhelm you. Don't let the smallness of an idea downplay your creative drive.
Whatever you do, just intend to matter. Let the universe decide the size of it.
When you intend to matter, the game changes. Because then, the size of the playing field doesn't matter, but the fight in the player does. But if you think that your ideas and your work don't matter, you won't have the motivational juice. You'll be struggling for inspiration, and you'll not be doing justice to your calling in life.
Your art matters. It allows people to look at the world from a different perspective. Ten perspectives or hundreds is not important.
Your writing matters. It creates hope in someone who has nothing else to hold on to.
Your hairstyling matters. It gives someone the confidence to love oneself and find love.
Your pottery matters. It gives the ice breaker for someone to start a conversation and maybe a lifelong relationship.
Your advertising campaign matters. It allows someone to make a better choice that could change her life.
Your presence matters. It tells someone that they are important to you.
Your birthday cake matters. It changes the worldview of a 4-year-old whom you've baked it for.
Your teaching matters. To even a student who has never loved science before.
Your argument in court matters. It gives a new lease of life to the innocent.
You matter. Your creations matter. Everything you do matters. Just intend to matter.

“I am good to go for another two years. After that, one more Retreat with Creativegarh. I have my mind clutter-free, my thoughts crystallized and a timeline for my book. Arun, Mihika, and Deanne, I am ready to pay more! The Retreat was deep enough to tickle my being, and tell me that I can tap it if I am open to the universe. The content worked for me as if it was custom-made. Thank you!”
