When you write stories, you use language invented by someone, words minted by someone else, emotions that have been named decades ago and have come to you through life experiences of self and others, word processor by one company, computer by another, characters and their characteristics from someone you know, their clothes from the catwalks of Paris and what they eat from the menus of the world or Anthony Bourdain's travels.           Originality is overrated.           We steal from everywhere. And we should.           From movies, music, books, paintings, travels, road signs, menus, articles, newsfeeds, poems, dreams, relationships, architecture, buildings, demolitions, bridges, alleys, theatres, random conversations, romance, lost love, grief, anger, nature, trees, clouds, light, shadows, water, rivers, avalanches. Life.           Steal like an artist, says Austin Kleon. It's what you do with this stealing that makes the unthinkable, unimaginable, and unreasonable happen. It's your youness that you add to these inspirations that makes the new newness worthy of inspiration. Your authenticity turns the mundane into magic, the ordinary into extraordinary, and the unseen into unputdownable marvel.           Choose authenticity over originality, youness over newness.           Jean-Luc Godard, the French filmmaker rightly said, 'It's not where you take things from, it's where you take them to'.             The quality of life is measured in S.U.P.L.                     Imagine life as a picture postcard. Now imagine the quality of the picture defined by the resolution of the picture, that is, the number of pixels in one square inch. 300 pixels per square inch makes the picture perfect. In a 5x7 inch picture postcard, there are 10,500 pixels or dots.           The quality of your life is not defined by the number of dots you connect in your life, but the dots you create.           The quality of the picture, the clarity of your life, the brightness of your thoughts, the sharpness of your empowering beliefs, the lightness of your being, the colours in your life is measured in S.U.P.L.           Show ups per life.           The more you show up, the more picture-perfect life you have. The quality of our lives is defined by the quantity of show ups.           Doing a hundred things because they give you joy is far more important than doing one thing to perfection. Having a thousand hobbies is more fulfilling than having one focused goal. Working on every area of your life is more in alignment with the universal flow than just showing up for one. Three percent of successes are more important than just three.           The lesser the passions we involve ourselves with, the more we feel unlived and unloved. The lesser the ideas we have to live a bigger life, the more territorial we become about just one point of view, choosing not to feel the nudges of the universe, allowing resistance to have a field day and removing ourselves from the universal flow.           The difference between an unlived life and a lived one is the pursuit of quality, not quantity.           Bake those buns. Paint those closets. Type those memoirs. Draw those caricatures. Create those sculptures. Read those books. Plant those flowers. Tell those tales. Scale those mountains. Ride those cycles. Play that piano. Watch those sunsets. Swin those currents. Lift those weights. Help those people. Write those stories.           Show up for your life. Every day.           How many show ups per life make a big life you ask? One more.
