Where is it happening?
At a majestic land that boasts some of the most enchanting vistas of nature –
Sakleshpur. It is here that you will find emerald-green hills, well-trimmed tea
and coffee plantations, forts, temples, and waterfalls that will keep you spoilt
for choice in case you wish to step out. You would be staying in an elegant bungalow
nestled amidst lush greenery and sweeping mountain views. The abode makes for a
haven of tranquility that invites our participants to soak up the aura of a mystic
town and recharge their soul’s batteries while on a creative journey.
How to get there?
Sakleshpur in Karnataka is a 4.5-hour drive from Bangalore International Airport
(242 km) and 3-hour drive from Mangalore International Airport (132 km), which is
also the nearest airport from the destination. From the airports, Sakleshpur can
be accessed through road and rail. As a matter of fact, it is recommended that you
drive to your destination, as the roads are very scenic with coffee estates on both
sides. The Sakleshpur Railway Station is connected to all the major cities in Karnataka.

How many participants will there be in all?
18 at the maximum. The idea is to create an intimate group of people who are serious
about their creative transformation and can be cheerleaders for each other’s creative
journey. We also ensure that we have a diverse and varied lot across creative domains
and experience levels, so that when the journeys intersect, there are enough experiences
and stories to take solace in.
So, when do I get there and when do I leave?
Travelling to a distant town is a full-day task, particularly if you’re coming
from somewhere far. So, plan to reach by lunchtime on the 14th August. Ease in
around 2 pm, feel at home, have dinner with your co-attendees, have a word with
the facilitators and settle in for a good night’s sleep, so we can start nice and
early on the following day. The Retreat will be conducted from 15th to 19th August.
You may plan to leave for your destination after breakfast on the 20th.
What’s the accommodation like?
Located across a hillside that is draped in lush green shrubbery, this colonial
bungalow sits pretty and feels like something right out of a picture-perfect painting.
It is surrounded by tea and coffee plantations that add to the aesthetics of an
already alluring vista.
The property is dotted with well-tended lawns where you can pull up a chair and relish
your morning cuppa, or just soak up some fresh air. Additionally, there is a gazebo
sit-out for added convenience, in case you wish to sit under some shade.
The abode features a rustic façade with hip roofs that goes in perfect harmony with
its breathtaking surroundings. Inside, it is elegantly furnished to ensure you have the
most comfortable stay. A couple of common sitting areas is where you can kick back with
your travel companions and share travel tales. These spaces are appointed with cushioned
armchairs and coffee tables where you can place your coffee mugs when the stories get
interesting. Partial wood paneling throughout the abode lends it a rather cosy vibe.
Each bedroom is spacious and flaunts a comfy double bed with side tables and lamps, an
armchair, and a fireplace to keep you warm while you are indoors. The en suite washrooms
are tiled and fitted with western sanitary ware. The holiday home looks out to the

A note from the property owners
Creativegarh has a zero-garbage tolerance policy. The Retreat will be held at a pristine location nestled within the mountains and we ensure that we leave the property as clean and green as we found it. Attendees are requested to keep track of their belongings and make sure that they do not discard anything anywhere apart from the bins.
We at Creativegarh do not support the use of drugs because we believe that creativity does not require the crutches of mind altering substances. The use of drugs is prohibited at the Retreat.
The owners and caretakers of the property have painstakingly created a comfortable stay rich with heritage. Please be respectful of their effort inside as well as outside the villas amidst the vibrant plantation.
The Retreat at Sakleshpur is located in a serene and quiet area. Loud music after 10.30 pm is not allowed. Make your experience at the Retreat stress free and play your music soft.
Water is a precious commodity, all the more in the hills. Please be mindful of your use. Do not wash your clothes in the bathrooms. You may give your laundry to the staff who will arrange for it to be cleaned, this service will be charged extra.
No food will be served/eaten in the rooms.
Housekeeping/Cleaning and bedsheet change(s) should be notified to the front desk.
Soiling of sheets/carpets and damaging rooms will be charged extra.
Tissue papers, chips packets and other disposables are to be thrown in the dustbins provided. No littering is allowed.
All breakages/damages will be charged.
