Live it forwards. Look at it backwards.

  mark

There's a difference between active surrender and passive surrender. Passive surrender is surrender from a space of fear, hopelessness, waiting for miracles and still trying to control the outcome.

Active surrender comes from a space of love and being an active participant in your life. Of playing life from the centerfield, not from the sidelines. Of living in the intimacy of trust and hope. Of making miracles a part of your storyline.

Play your life forward. And trust that everything is happening for you, not to you. Higher consciousness is about trusting the universe. Trust comes when you fully surrender. And surrender doesn't mean that you let go of free will. It means that you let go of everything that is not in your control.

But as you play life forward, look at it backwards and you will see that every dot connects. Every.

Every action, inaction, every word, relationship, event, book, lesson, movie, job - everything connects in the divine order of the universe. And as you look backwards, you look at your life in awe to see how far you have come. And the extent you want to go from here depends on how deep you are willing to go inside you.

Show up for life. Show up for the things that give you joy. Show up for yourself. Live life forward and look back only in awe and pride, not regret, guilt or shame.

Which game are you playing in life? Shame or blame?

  mark

We are always playing one of the two:

Shame game - when we believe that we are not good enough, and the guilt, regrets and rejection of the past makes us feel unloved and unworthy. The result? Intense anger at ourselves and an inward expression of fear. The fear of putting yourself in the world and being judged. And over time, repressed and suppressed emotions and talents, and choosing to create for survival and not for the joy of creation.

Blame game - when we give control to external power. When we believe that every reason for not stepping into our own power is because of someone, something or some experience that you were trying to control. The result here is anger as well, but that at the world outside, and an outward expression of fear. The fear of failing, the fear of being seen through, the fear of not being good enough and many more. And in this, you either don't create at all or create only to prove a point or find validation from the world outside of you.

Life is a game you have to play all in, with no shame, no blame, and no bubble-wraps. You will be bruised, burnt, or asked to walk on fire. Either you can be in the middle of the playing field, winning it your way or you can sit at home, wallowing in the shame of the past or blame life for not being the life you thought it would be.

Heal yourself from the shame or the blame, and take guard.

“Creativegarh is not just any other retreat to learn about creative process. It is an experience of life. It takes you on this amazing journey of looking at your life in retrospect and then deciding to take charge of what’s coming next. The time spent here were the closest 5 days I had with myself since a long time. We tend to miss out on a lot of things when life happens. This is an experience that takes you back to yourself. You must be doing so many things in your life at so many stages but it’s never enough. This will help you find you're enough and be at peace with it. I didn’t come with many expectations, and I surprised myself during this journey. I recommend this to everyone to see a different side of themselves. And even if you think you have it in control, trust me you are in for a surprise. Arun and Mihika, thank you for allowing me to be on this journey and thank you for doing what you do. The world we live in needs this.”
