The sun and the moon and the stars should revolve around you. Before you become someone else's you have to become yours. Before you are in a position to help others, you have to be able to help yourself first. Self-love is not selfish.           You must be your own guiding light; you should be the calm in your own storm. You should be the flower in your own vase. You should be the unblocking of your own barricades. You should be the flow in your own drought. You must first find joy out of your own drudgery.           Before you create for the happiness of others, create for your own joy. Unapologetically. Before you become a role model for others, become your biggest fan. Unquestionably. Before you create to heal the world, create to heal yourself, for every trauma, every experience, every jolt that has blocked you over the years. Before you create out of fear of staying relevant, create out of love. It'll always be relevant. Before you create just because you are expected to, create because you are meant to. Before you create for fame, create for magic. Before you create for fortune, create for abundance.           And witness the world revolve around you.             You are little bits of everyone you have loved.                     You still make tea like your ammi did. Sugar first, then elaichi, and leaves later.           You still watch the same genre of movies as your first girlfriend introduced you to.           You still emulate your favourite boss and how he would approach a problem.           You still wear your hair like Rachael from Friends because your roomie in college made you do it.           A song you listen to reminds you of someone from years ago.           You eat one fruit at 11am just like your father does.           You give curd and almonds to your child before any exam just like your mum did with you.           You still remember the names of the planets like your science teacher taught you. My Very Educated Mother Served Us Noodle Pasta.           You wear a vest and shorts on Sundays like your grandpa did.           You still leave little bites of roti on the windowsill for the birds, just like your didi did.           You still do the morning prayers in the same order and with the same rituals as Nani did.           You still leave one light switched on at home when you go out of station to dissuade robbers, just like your parents did.           You still tell the same jokes as your roommate back in college.           You still correct your spellings as you remember the lessons of your English teacher. C before E, L before I.           You are beautiful bits and pieces of everyone whom you've ever loved.           Love more.
