  When you know your purpose,
you can easily say no.

When you know your purpose, you want nothing to come in the way of your evolution and living a joyful life, fulfilling and glorious.

It becomes a lot easier to say no when you have a raging why burning inside you. No to demanding bosses, family members, clients, expectations of the world, your own falsely created expectations of yourself. No to toxic relationships. No to childhood conditioning. No to societal programming. No to dogmas and beliefs. No to unnecessary ego at play. No to fears that have defined every living moment and no to victimhood. No to giving your power to the world outside you. No to the stories and narratives that have defined you over the years.

Your purpose, your ikigai, your calling, your personal legend, your big why. It makes your life bigger than you and then everything that takes you off track seems like a big distraction.

Know your why. No to everything else. And say yes to a big life.

Just a reminder from the other side: Your grass looks greener too.

Comparison kills creativity. We've heard that a million times and every time it is said, it becomes truer.

What you create anything with love, including your own life, it will always be subjective and that's the beauty of it. Everyone looks at creativity from a different lens. Something that sends waves of pleasure down your being may not be what sails your friend's boat. Art that may not talk to you can have deep conversations with someone else. The Lemon Brulee from the recipe book may be perfect for you but not for someone who does not have a sweet tooth. The book that makes you all teary eyed and nostalgic could make someone else nauseous and angry. The film that talks about a father-son relationship of love may evoke jealousy in another.

Comparisons are created by economics or individual preferences and lifetime filters created by life experiences, traumas and beliefs. Let those not guide your creative process. Create from a space of what brings you joy, not what gives a critic some fodder for content.

Like grass, if you care not one bit about being compared, you will always find a way to grow even through the toughest concrete or distasteful opinions.

Just get out there and create. Don't let comparisons stop you. Keep moving and creating. And don't ever come to a point where you let life beat down, so you never get up again and allow grass to grow under your feet.
